Bandeja Paisa - Eating Large in Colombia

Bandeja Paisa is one of the most well-known Colombian dishes, from the Antioquia region in the Northwest, where the city of Medillín is located. Similar to Peruvian tacu tacu, Bandeja Paisa has pretty much everything all in one dish: fried steak, chicharron (fried pork rind), red beans, rice, sausage (chorizo), an arepa, and a fried egg! Colombian red beans are delicious - actually each individual component of this recipe is delicious on its own.

I was planning to make and write about bandeja paisa soon, but then I found this amazing food blog about it, at weareneverfull, and realized the work had already been done. Beautiful pictures, detailed instructions, and an interesting explanation of the story behind this dish make this blog really fun to read even if you never actually make the entire meal.
