Guaguas de Pan Dulce
November 2 is All Souls Day, a Catholic holiday that is often celebrated in the Andean regions South America in combination with some indigenous traditions as well.  These "bread babies", or guaguas de pan, are given as gifts at this time, as well as taken to the graves of family members. This practice is thought to date back to pre-Colonial times, when gifts of food were left for deceased relatives to enjoy in the afterlife. The guaguas are often prepared with a sweet dough, similar to Mexican pan de muerto.
